The Village Times

Judy Miller

The Aspen Institute's stunning Rocky Mountain backdrop inspires poetry, as in Scooter Libby's famous 2005 letter to Judy Miller (left): “Out West, where you vacation, the aspens will already be turning. They turn in clusters, because their roots connect them.” Along with poetry, the Institute arouses bipartisan bonhomie. Where else can you rub shoulders with the Koch brothers, Madeleine Albright and Henry Louis Gates, Jr.? As a Village member, you'll have access to the Institute's ultra-exclusive Ideas Festival each summer. We promise you this: a few days in the mountains with the world's movers and shakers will leave you with a strong appreciation for the spirit of the Village and your place in it.
